Yesterday we were lucky enough to spend the day with some of our favorite people from Lexevan Magazine. We are super excited as we are working on a future monthly collaboration with the Lexevan team, but more of that coming soon. In the meantime, we had a fantastic photo shoot to kick off SheStylesNyc! Sunday 2/13- Studio 9pm

Zang Toi left his hometown of Malaysia at the age of eighteen. He moved to New York to chase his dreams. Toi attended Parsons The New School for Design and later received the Mouton-Cadet Young Designers Award in 1991. Zang Toi is a master of color, as we saw in his presentation. The Fall 2011 collection is flawlessly elegant with a certain sparkle that leaves you breathless. Every piece to walk down the runway just gets better and better.

Key items we saw were:
-Extraordinary fabric choices
-Victorian inspired gowns (sleeves)
-Key colors black, tan, green
-The ultimate topknot and soft makeup
-Perfect music and a beautiful walk

Cynthia Steffe graduated from Parsons right here in the heart of New York City. She launched her first line in 1989. Her line is geared towards mid-teens to young women in their twenties, it is contemporary and fabulously sophisticated. You can find Cynthia Steffe in department and specialty stores world wide. Remember Cynthia Steffe is considered a luxury so wear it proud! We cannot tell you how excited we personally are to wear pieces from this collection, which is the perfect definition of fall!

Key Items we saw were:

-Rich fall colors with beautiful browns, reds, greens, and orange.

-Phenomenal make up topped with a ruby lip, flawless makeup.

-To die for fur trimmings on scarves, coats, and hats.

-Perfectly fitted leather pants and tops.

Mik Cire (Eric Kim) was born and raised in Los Angeles, Ca and studied at FIDM in LA.  The Mik Cire Fall 2011 collection is a more sophisticated, mature, and sleek look than previous collections. We called it a “Clean Grunge” all black with pops of red leather.

Key Items we saw were:
-Tall lace up leather boots- Love!
-Sweaters with hoods- Love!
-“Man Turban”- Love and Love!
-Fringe scarf’s as belts- We could of done without this look
-Shiny leather backpacks- On the fence about this one if they were filled we might have felt differently
